About (Post)Hope
-
Inspiration
Frank Warren’s PostSecret (www.postsecret.com)
a desire to feel less hopeless
Interest Convergence
Inspiration
A growing obsession with American book cover art (c. 1875-1930) (the culprit)
a desire to create a serialized project to practice the process and techniques of screen printing
-
To provide an interactive way for hope to be sent by anyone and shared with everyone
To piece together a tangible, collaboratively created, and People-made mosaic of hope during a post-hope era
To view and experience (Post)Hope together and in-person at a TBD location in Philly
-
I’m a philly-based artist who is forever inspired by the city of brotherly love, its unwavering grit, and its revolutionary artistic spirit.
for now, I’m choosing to remain anonymous to keep attention and focus on what I think is more important: the shared hope of (post)hope.
I’ll shed my anonymity upon completion of project goal 3.

present
As of July 4th, 2026, there are five (5) (Post)Hope designs in the printing process pipeline.
each design will be test printed/mailed before a full-run will be printed.
Full-Run
at least (x100) 4×6 postcards of qr code postcard design
at least (x12) 11×15 prints of original (Post)hope design
future
My personal goal is to complete full-runs of twelve (12) (post)hope designs by the end of december 2026
-
TL;DR
Original (Post)Hope design = for art’s sake
QR Postcard design = for the sake of human interaction & usps
Each original (Post)Hope design is constructed as a standalone postcard design, with american book cover art in mind (see interest convergence).
Then, in order to ensure project goals 1 & 2 are satisfied, the original design is adapted to include a QR code. The overall postcard format is adjusted for successful mailing.

to help fund the production of (post)hope, At least twelve (12) prints of each original (post)hope design will be printed on 28cm x 38cm white somerset printmaking paper (250gsm).
these prints will be available for purchase from the online store (coming soon).

Not yet…if at all.
This is for two reasons:
My desire is for (post)hope to initially gather attention and interest through organic happenstance and word-of-mouth, and
the production of (post)hope is currently a one-person operation and “social media management” landed in my “later” column, rather than my “now” column.
But please don’t let this stop you from sharing (post)hope through your social media platforms if you desire to do so :)
Special
Thanks
My friends & chosen fam who have helped shape this project from its inception as the trusted listeners and genuine supporters they have always been
members of the philly art community, specifically dg print lab & jay shifman, for their generous and beyond helpful advice & encouragement
My momma, my first patron, for giving me an opportunity to create art full-time for a little while…and for trusting the process with me, even when it’s scary as hell
